Job Description

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for leading Aon’s Affinity and Structured Portfolio Solutions (SPS) in the region.

Core responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Manage, co-ordinate and develop new business across the Region working closely with local Affinity team designates
  • Continuous analysis of existing Asia Affinity portfolio to ensure revenue growth and profitability
  • Develop annual business plans focused upon Local Market Planning (LMP) delivering growth, efficiency with effective solutions
  • Analyse Industry trends, competitive threats, market potential and expansion opportunities, design and implement sales plans.
  • Design, plan and execute business process on sales, operations, documentation processes, quality assurance practices and required change management process.
  • Ensure compliance to corporate governance and industry regulations and procedures
  • Ensure Affinity and SPS teams are compliant with Aon Management Protocols
  • Maintain high level relationships with the Affinity Global leadership team
  • Manage all incoming global Affinity enquires
  • Provide support, liaise, assist and manage enquires from all Aon colleagues including Aon Benfield, Hewitt etc when required
  • Work closely and directly with all ARS colleagues , local client segments, Specialty teams as well as other resources including Sales & Marketing, Bid Management, Regional IT , Inpoint, Data & Analytics and the Regional COO office
  • Manage, review and coordinate the retender of all current existing SPS facilities as required with in country colleagues and Regional Legal
  • Manage, guide, liaise and assist country designates in the preparation of identifying and creating of new SPS opportunities
  • Review all SPS tenders prepared for approval of the COO for Asia and Regional Legal
  • Lead new recruitment specifically around Commercial ARS and Affinity
  • Lead business development of new Affinity progammes, including but not limited to:

  • Establishing contacts with prospective business partners in the region

  • Developing and writing business proposals (including financial projections and profitability studies)

  • Developing and managing relationships with carriers (in cooperation/coordination with the broking teams as applicable) and vendors

  • Lead high level relationship management of existing Affinity clients and or SPS programmes

  • Manage sales expectations as relates to program performance objectives with carriers
  • Explore new cross-sell and/or penetration opportunities
  • Develop Affinity business and marketing plans with Country teams to achieve business objectives

Requirements

  • Degree or post graduate degree in a business related discipline
  • Certificate in General Insurance (CGI) or equivalent Associate, Diploma related certificate
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in Broking, General Insurance or related industry
  • Practical experience in Affinity Programme Development and Management including the business process flow between relevant parties
  • Practical experience in Warranty Solutions
  • Solid understanding of insurance underwriting and distribution methodology in Affinity and SPS
  • Insurance technical experience
  • Strong relationship building, customer focus and management skills
  • Strong skills in negotiation, underwriting, risk evaluation and decision making
  • An analytical mindset and a talent for data interpretation
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strategic selling and presentation skills
  • Self-starter that possesses initiative and takes on accountability
  • Practical understanding of Bancasurance models and procedures
  • Practical understanding of Regulatory requirements concerning basic Affinity program structures across Asia
  • Strong awareness of Industry emerging trends or disrupters
