The

Oracle ASEAN region is responsible for driving Oracle’s revenue across all

ASEAN countries. In combination, the ASEAN community represents the 7th largest

economy globally with Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand

and Vietnam as its key markets and engines for growth. The ASEAN Head of

Marketing role is an executive level position that bears responsibility and

accountability for driving business results and organizational effectiveness

through the development, deployment and management of the ASEAN marketing

functions and resources. The successful candidate will be responsible for the

overall marketing strategy through to execution, and respective marketing

contributions to pipeline and revenue across customer segments, product

portfolios and markets. This includes but is not limited to delivering against

the objectives defined within the local business plans as they relate to brand

awareness/thought leadership, pipeline generation and acceleration as well as

advocacy and retention. Furthermore, you will be in charge of the overall

local team structure, teambuilding, empowerment and motivation. You will be

expected to engage and manage internal stakeholder expectations on various

levels, but also present yourself with Oracle as a thought leader in the

market.

The

ASEAN Head of Marketing will be a core member and trusted advisor to both the

ASEAN Sales Leadership and APAC Marketing leadership teams.

EXPECTATIONS

AND TASKS

  • Marketing Strategy Development: Lead the development and implementation of innovativemarketing programs in partnership with Sales to meet revenue and pipelinetargets across all segments, products and markets. Ensure that persuasive,consistent and concise positioning occurs throughout all integrated marketingprograms. Lead by example and be the digital ambassador within ASEAN byfollowing a “digital first” marketing approach across all programs andcampaigns. Enable Sales all Corporate Functions (HR, Finance, Procurement, IT)to be brand ambassadors through innovative approaches such as social sellingand innovative usage of digital media programs.

  • Marketing Operations Excellence: Ensure cross-organizational alignment – departmental,LoB & APAC – to identify best practices, opportunities, share learning,leveraged resources, innovation, etc. Lead the team to operational excellenceensuring scale, leveragability, best practice definition, continuous learningand ensure the transition from strategy to deliverable to business impact.Contribute sales insight to the delivery & processes; ensure alignment withsales objectives and marketing and business development strategy.Familiar with operating within a matrix organization, cooperating with localand with virtual teams.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Participate in Strategic Planning across the sales andmarketing leadership teams – Set standards to work with Business Planning,Marketing Planning, and Business Development to determine strategic goals forhub, geographies or routes to market. Translate business needs into integratedCXO level programs aligned with stated strategic goals. Oversee others tostrongly align with sales stakeholders and internal business partners(Procurement, Finance, Compliance, Communications, HR etc.) in order to alignwith other GTM programs and initiatives and deliver the appropriate plan formarketing contribution to pipeline and revenue. Support/enable the salesorganization through delivery of key programs, customer stories, compellingpositioning to cross-/upsell install based customers and ensure regularreporting to stakeholders.

  • Transformational Leadership &Management Excellence: Effectivelymanage the marketing budget and make decisions regarding investment levels fortargeted customer segments and market opportunities. Create and communicategoals, objectives and KPI's for all marketing initiatives and ensure ROI isachieved. Build productive and influential executive relationships withinternal and external constituents. Align resources to maximize highestleverage opportunities for pipeline growth ROI and revenue impact. Motivate,develop and retain a high performing team with complementary strengths. Ensureperformance and role expectations are clearly defined, communicated & executed.Give people opportunity and latitude to grow and achieve. EDUCATION

AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • An undergraduate degree inmarketing/business (or equivalent) is required and an advanced degree isstrongly preferred. MBA preferred.

  • Willingness to travel within ASEAN on afrequent basis and must have a strong grasp and proven record of successfulinteraction with both creative aspects of business and technical implementationand tactics of operations.

  • This position requires a 10 years ofbusiness experience with an emphasis on leading teams both at regional andcountry level.

  • The ideal candidate would also haveexperience working in an international, matrix-based and collaborativeorganization setting.

  • Must have experience in managing budgetseffectively across multiple countries setting up effective metrics and businessprocesses.

  • Strategic Thinking: focuses the organizationon efforts that align with the company's strategic direction.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Plans, executes, and measures demand generation marketing programs that result in growth of sales pipeline and revenue for Field Sales organization.

Develop and implement all field marketing activities within own business area to ensure achievement of short and long term business objectives, increased profit and market control. Contributes to the line-of-business and geography marketing strategy. Be an active member of the global Marketing team to ensure consistency of strategic marketing programs. Disseminate key corporate information to the line-of-business and geography operations pertaining to new product development/launches. Actively develop new approaches and opportunities for expanding company business base. Act as a liaison with senior management to ensure that marketing activities are in support of sales plans. Direct marketing resources and budget to be deployed using the most appropriate marketing mix for the line-of-business and/or the geography. Ensure consistency between global directions and line-of-business/single-geography implementation choices. Implement and monitor advertising campaigns on a line-of-business/geographical basis. Manage line-of-business/geographical social media strategy. Manage line-of-business/geographical social media strategy. Manage relationships with major suppliers, agencies, customers, industry associations and government representatives to achieve marketing objectives. Provide effective performance management: set clear goals for all staff, provide regular feedback on performance and conduct a formal appraisal at the conclusion of the fiscal year. Manage the activities of the staff according to overall marketing strategies and budgets. Implement organizational changes in line with changing business & market needs.

Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interacts internally and externally with executive management involving negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge. Software business management experience. Sales and Marketing experience in the IT industry. E-business Internet practical know-how. Proven ability to manage budget, approval processes, resource allocations. Professional credentials in Marketing, Academic credentials desirable. Past experience in Sales desirable.
