The Supervisor performs internal and external market opportunity data collection through established internal and external networks and providers, including data to support Industry and Geographic based modeling. He/She uses internal and external modeling, tools, and data sources to develop competitive and market opportunity information used to develop Business Plans, Revenue Management Strategies and measure initiatives and other growth related activities (strategic and tactical). He/she will manage and administer internal databases and information centers that can be accessed by internal customers at Region, District or Country level. This position produces and presents standard and ad hoc research reports for consumption by internal stakeholders.
Maintains and archives electronic and text information to provide historical reference on competitor or market activity by Industry or Geographic level.
Works with external vendors to identify and procure up-to-date research materials for market opportunity sizing.
Uses quantitative methodologies to produce analytic insights related to competitor activities market direction, and UPS customer churn.
Performs financial, operational, and go to market analyses with tools such as MCCU, SWOT and Fact Book development to measure and report on UPS' market space, opportunity and initiative results.
Identifies the business problem that requires research; identifies sources of information that are relevant to a problem; reviews literature and data related to the research question; summarizes information from data sources
Provides Country/District/Region BPU/BPT market opportunity insights to be used in initiative development.
Measures and provides insights on initiative effectiveness and on customer churn behavior.
Confers with Region and District forecasters about forecasts, business planning, methods, assumptions, and rationale to improve forecast and Business Plan accuracy.
Reviews volume and revenue forecasts in management models to identify potential issues.
Analyses and develops local Revenue Management initiatives to accelerate profitable growth. Optimizes contract administration for the non-strategic accounts to ensure profitable growth for country.
Reviews and implements procedures to continuously improve timely and accurate pricing.
Maintains an audit compliance process to ensure compliance guidelines are met.
Degree in Finance, Marketing, General Business Preferred
1 year experience in Planning, Reporting, Market Analytics, Statistics, Business Development
Meticulous with strong attention to details, demonstrate good numerate skills, matured thinking, dependable and requires minimum supervision
Excellence in oral and written communication skill in English
Fast learner, proactive team player and ability to work in a fast pace environment
Expert level of MS Office application, especially Excel and Access
