Job Description

The Sales Director will work with the Sales & Marketing team on a day to day basis, with support and expertise provided by the wider teams, namely Broking, Specialty and Client Service.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and grow ‘New’ sales in the Corporate and Commercial segments, with strong emphasis on Corporate segment

  • Actively search for new clients by developing leads through social platforms, cold calls, follow up on direct marketing, attend networking events and convert leads to sales opportunities

  • Execute Local Market Plans and develop a pipeline of opportunities in the Corporate and Commercial business segment, with full responsibility for converting those prospects to clients

  • Develop opportunities by demonstrating risk and insurance expertise and ability to help solve clients’ problems

  • Engage with all internal local and regional teams to bring the best of Aon, work closely with the Regional Sales & Marketing team, the Aon Singapore Broking Centre, Specialty teams and the Singapore Corporate and Commercial teams

  • Manage responses to tenders and develop quality presentations as needed, work with the relevant bid management in country and regional expertise

  • Facilitate cross-selling activities as directed by supervisor

  • Follow the Aon sales process, including regular sales activity, accurate pipeline updates and branding standards

  • Contribute, as required, to ARS Singapore initiatives in general by providing constructive challenges and implementing agreed initiatives

  • Achieve sales revenue target

  • Perform other duties and tasks as reasonably assigned by your supervisor

Requirements:

  • University degree and/ or a professional qualification

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the general insurance industry

  • Proven record of sales success

  • Highly motivated

  • Highly articulate, an effective communicator who uses consultative selling skills

  • Exceptionally organised with strong time management skills

  • Excellent team player

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines while maintaining prospect relationships

  • Creative and lateral thinker

  • Confidence to present to audiences / decision makers

  • Strong computer/systems literacy including first class Word and PowerPoint skills
