Job Description:

  • The Senior Globex Support Analyst will focus on gaining technical proficiency and a working knowledge of CME’s electronic trading environment (Globex) in addition to OTC and auction markets.

  • The Senior GCC Analyst is responsible for daily operations of Globex electronic trading system and OTC platforms, along with performing first level product and market support for CMEG customers.

  • The candidate will deliver Globex and OTC critical assistance including error trade, order status, order cancel and net position support.

  • Deliver advanced technical assistance including front-end, trading platforms and match engine functionality as well as all requests for service restoration.

  • Provide advanced informational assistance on markets, products and exchange trading systems.

  • The Senior GCC Analyst works regularly in a customer-facing capacity to deliver informational assistance via telephone and electronic means.

  • The ability to be a collaborative team player that is a self-starter and can interact effectively with different cultures is required.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline

  • Advanced Degree desirable

  • Professional Training desirable

Experience Requirements

  • Ten years in capital markets industry

  • Five years of customer-facing experience in a financial setting

  • Significant experience in trading/brokering environment

  • Strong understanding of futures and options trading

  • Substantial exposure to electronic trading platforms

  • Software Requirements: proficient with Microsoft Office, advanced abilities with Excel

  • Previous experience within trading, support, market analysis and customer support

  • A solid understanding of Commodities, Interest Rates, Energy and FX Derivative Markets

  • Knowledge of futures, options and OTC products across multiple asset classes

  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate strong verbal, written and problem solving skills.

  • Advanced understanding of electronic trading (i.e. algorithmic behavior, order types)

Software Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel (VBA experience a plus)

  • Significant experience with leading industry charting/news platforms

  • Strong familiarity with electronic trading platforms

  • Knowledge of statistical programming languages a plus

Languages

  • Fluency English Required

  • Conversational Japanese, Korean or Mandarin preferred
