World Wide Technology, Inc. has an opportunity available for a Cloud Automation Engineer to support our Professional Services team. This position will be focused on industry leadingcloud automation and orchestration technologyincluding VMware vRealize and/or EMC Enterprise Hybrid Cloud, and its associated technical requirements, enablement requirements, and customer facing activities.

This position will be based out of Singapore or Hong Kong.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Present passionate and technically competent subject matter expertise to our clients, assisting them in paving a path to next-generation cloud/datacenter architectures.

  • Provide critical subject matter expert expertise around the VMware vRealize Suite, particularly vRealize Automation, EMC’s Enterprise Hybrid Cloud (EHC) solution, and related platforms.

  • Provide expertise around VMware vRealize Orchestrator by having the ability to create and edit workflow scripts to meet customer use cases.

  • Have a base understanding of public, private and hybrid cloud solutions competing marketplace offerings such as Microsoft’s suite, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Cisco Cloud, OpenStack, and similar

  • Provide customer support and training on various technologies for which you are responsible.

  • Understand and articulate additional drivers, challenges, inhibitors and conditions driving cloud and similar next-generation technologies within a Customer’s environment.

  • Act as a Trusted Advisor in an objective role to provide the best solution for the customer based on their current and long term business requirements and work with account team to bring new opportunities to their attention.

  • Business process and case development, business value consulting, and a value realization-based project progress reporting to the client as well as internally.

  • Collaborate with WWT account teams, solution architects, and project management to define solution requirements and scope to meet customer requirements and priorities while protecting WWT.

  • Pro-actively maintain a considerable technical and functional knowledge of evolving market solutions and offerings.

  • Act as a Technical Lead with the associated technologies, including maintaining certifications and assisting our company meets the technical requirements for the vendor partnership.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years field experience at the Enterprise level with next-generation cloud technologies with highly available, fully virtualized, and highly automated environment at scale - VMware, Red Hat, Microsoft, Cisco, Openstack, etc

  • 5+ years of Compute, Networking, and Storage background across varying vendors - Cisco, EMC, NetApp, Hitachi, HP, Dell, etc

  • 4+ years of coding/scripting experience with varying scripting languages, i.e. JavaScript, PowerShell, Bash and more.

  • Experience with implementing distributed deployments of VMware vRealize Automation for large organizations

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is preferred

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment to produce outstanding results

  • Self-Motivated to maintain up-to-date knowledge of hardware/software solutions.

  • Demonstrable leadership acumen and international experience preferred

  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)

  • Experience with documentation of design, system builds, configurations, and support procedures absolutely essential.

  • Excellent personal interaction, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work directly with vendors and account teams to schedule meetings both remotely and onsite.

  • Ability to travel internationally as required.
