Job Summary
GLOBALFOUNDRIES Central Industrial Engineering (CIE) department is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Equipment Performance Modeling and Productivity Improvement Specialist to join our team in Singapore . Reporting to the Manager Equipment Modeling and Productivity improvement, this position is responsible for equipment performance analysis, productivity improvements, process optimization, standardization and Best Practice Sharing with other FAB’s. The position will provide leadership, mentoring to project teams on the practice of best-in-class methodologies and tools, and will have the responsibility for planning and assisting in the execution of various continuous improvement projects targeted towards achievement of entitled equipment performance.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Equipment modeling and productivity improvement

  • Deep dive analysis on COO, OEE, IEE and maintenance performance

  • Drive improvement programs based on corporate and fab goals

  • Mentor, coach and support local industrial engineering teams to achieve best in class equipment performance

  • Participate in key projects such as cost efficiency, cycle time reduction, capacity enhancement

  • Drive global standardization, target setting, performance visualization, automation and monitoring of KPI

  • Trigger for corrective actions to achieve KPI goals through close collaboration with stakeholders

  • Leads cross-site KPI benchmarking and analysis efforts

  • Engage with local and global stakeholders to drive further lean manufacturing development, best practice sharing and continuous improvement

  • Conduct training where needed to transfer good practices from other fabs

    Skilled in data extraction and advanced data analysis techniques

    Required Qualifications

  • Masters’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in wafer fabrication manufacturing

  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, Factory Physics, OEE improvements with hands-on implementation expertise

  • Proven project management skills including oversight of project teams, resource identification, budgets, scheduling and planning

  • Strong systems aptitude, with ability to identify opportunities to leverage advanced technology as a productivity enabler

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interface with all levels of employees, management, and diverse audiences

  • Ability to work effectively in a global matrix work environment, including flexibility in changing work priorities, working hours and travelling as needed to worldwide facilities

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, with the ability to bring assignments to a successful completion

  • Strong analytical skills, problem resolution and leadership competencies

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with demonstrated track record of continuous improvement projects

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is a must

    Preferred Qualifications

  • An advanced degree (MSc, MEng, MBA or PhD) in Industrial Engineering, or Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical preferred)

  • Working experience in a multi-cultural environment across different time zones

  • Lean Six Sigma qualification, certified from a recognized industrial company
