  • This is a key rolewithin Finance function, providing leadership to an accounting team inSingapore. This position will require a person of vision, integrity andcommitment, as well as substantial leadership and influencing experience,maturity and judgment. The incumbent must be able to multi-task, be receptiveto changes, ensure that team members meet deadlines, and be highly customerfocused (both external and internal customers). When there are M&Aactivities and corporate wide standardization & simplification projects, theincumbent will also play critical change management role to providerecommendations and prepare the broad organization for implementation.Duties &Responsibilities include:1.Supervise an accounting team. This will include analysing andresolving complex accounting and reporting issues.2.Assistsin directing company implementation of new accounting and reportingrequirements.3.Identify and initiate process improvement opportunitiesfor functional productivity. 4.Develops and implements accounting policies andprocedures to ensure external financial statements are in accordance with generallyaccepted accounting principles and internal management reports are consistentwith established policies and procedures.5.Assist in training Finance personnel on system changes, new processes,and reporting from new systems.

Qualifications

  • Education: A recognised Bachelor'sdegree in accountancy. CPA is preferred Experience: 8-12 years ofrelevant accounting experience in publicaccounting, manufacturing industry, etc. Relevant supervisory experience. Competencies: · Technical Expertise at https://dupontimpl.taleo.net/enterprise/2013PRD.1.5.90.3.0/akira/pub/fckeditor/editor/fckblank.html#TechFunc : Professionally competent in a technical area of accounting. · Communication:Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills to presentinformation and ideas to individuals or groups in a clear, organized, andarticulate manner. · Interpersonal: Ability to collaborate and buildstrong rapport with all levels, including local and regional Finance teams andDuPont businesses. · Analytical: Ability to identify problems and workwith the teams to propose and implement solutions. Strong business acumen. · Influence / Negotiation: Excellentinfluencing skills with the ability obtain buy-in from all levels.
