Duties & Responsibilities:

Exciting opportunity exists for a position as an Asia Sales Director for Production Board Test Division.

This role will be responsible for sales in China, South Asia, Korea, India and Japan for the Production Board Test business unit. Key responsibilities include:

Develop the strategic direction for the combined sales, application and service team, achieve booking targets for product and services, win major strategic design-ins, and increase our market share and margins. Setup and manage indirect sales channels were PBT is not selling direct.

Establish strong relationships with key decision makers at targeted customers and their subcontractors.

Lead customer positioning our products relative to market requirements and the competition.

Understand competitive threats and opportunities and develop/deploy effective countermeasures and proposals

Select, train and grow a successful sales team, while provide overall direction to the field sales-service support organizations.

Work with engineering and marketing to define requirements for commercially successful products.

Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required:

The ideal candidate will possess an engineering undergraduate degree, and an MBA degree is preferred.

The candidate will have prior experience with the PCBA manufacturing equipment industry selling assembly, automation, test, AOI/AXI or functional test equipment.

The candidate should have both direct sales and sales management experience in capital equipment with deal values ranging from $100 -$2,000K USD.

The candidate must possess minimum of 15 years sales experience, with at least 5 years of international team management.

The successful candidate will be accustomed to selling into a concentrated and competitive marketplace, with demonstrated success using consultative sales skills of relating, discovery, advocacy and customer decision support.

The candidate should possess past success in international sales campaign and customer development using both local and remote staff /resources for success.

Key personal attributes include:

Outstanding conversational and technical language skills in Mandarin and English.

Ability to represent ‘voice of the customer’ to headquarters without amplification; Ability to accurately quantify and reflect what the customer wants means without distortion or denial

Ability to develop and present strong, effective presentations to both internal and external audiences;

Strong analytical skills to develop innovative sales or solution proposals;

Strong focus on achievement of goals; A commercial focus to generate incremental revenue and profit initiatives;

Hands-on management style across a diverse ethnic workforceThis position does require 30-60 % domestic and international travel.
