At the moment we're looking for a Senior Manager, Portfolio Revenue - Resorts to join us in Singapore.
This role leads the revenue functionacross a portfolio of hotels within SEAK and Resorts region, developing and managing short,medium, and long-term strategies for profitable revenue generation and capture.
Leads cross functional decision makingof sound, tactical and strategic initiatives; accurately forecast demand andprice accordingly; and lead and manage the RMH Portfolio Revenue Manager’sperformance, in an efficient and effective environment of continuousimprovement.
Responsible for pro-actively and costeffectively maximizing subscriber hotel room revenues, RevPAR and systemdelivery to achieve superior performance in comparison to the competitive setas measured in RGI and as against budget growth targets for the SEAK and Resorts region
Scope of work focuses on RoomAccommodations, but may extent to conferencing and events, food and beverageoutlets, channel management and loyalty contribution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Key Activities)
- Under the guidance of the Director Revenue,RMH Leaders, Regional Commercial & Revenue Performance Leaders, providedirection to the allocated Portfolio Revenue Manager and hotel Sales &Marketing team and ensure execution of effective strategies and actions forrevenue management, pricing, yield management, forecasting and channel deliveryto achieve agreed RevPAR, RGI, system delivery, revenue and profitabilityobjectives
Develop, manage, and implement 2-3 yearplans for a portfolio of hotels in order to drive superior growth across allrevenue streams and in turn growth in market share, taking into considerationthe market and economic trends, whilst fully utilising the IHG Revenuemanagement suite of tools, systems, and procedures
Reviews secondary research data &analysis to understand competitor practices & performance, economic &consumer trends and the dynamic of the market & demand generators. Usesthis knowledge to identify and implement opportunities to generate incrementalrevenues and therefore drive revenue and pricing strategies with adequate ROIfor all portfolio hotels.
Supports Portfolio Revenue Manager orhotel Revenue lead with insights and recommendations to ensure that pricing,conversion and yield restrictions in Holidex Plus/ Perform or IHG Concerto areappropriate to forecasted demand and inventory is balanced and the dailyoperations of the Reservations team and revenue systems are managedeffectively. For Managed hotels and in conjunction with the hotel leadershipteam, implement system actions around pricing and yield to drive optimal RevPARdelivery.
Lead weekly yield meetings, monthlyrest of year forecast sign off meetings and monthly Revenue Generation meetingswith key hotel stakeholders to ensure consistent focus on optimisingperformance.
Responsible for analyzing groupactivity, including denials, regrets, booking pace, wash and cut offenforcement. Implement Group and FIT strategy calendar to assist the teams onthe ground to take relevant pricing decisions at all times.
Understanding of the MACRO andcompetitor environment through secondary research/3rd Party Tools likeAgency360 etc (subject to subscription by hotel). Demonstrate a clearunderstanding of the impact and effect on our hotels, by communicatingappropriate direction to wider community and stakeholders (hotel team, areateam and commercial teams)
Monitor competitor pricing for roomsthrough 3rd party tools like Market Vision Reports/Rate 360 (subject tosubscription by hotel) or in house built tools and understand the dynamics ofthe local market and demand generators. Recommend appropriate strategies andactions relating to pricing, prospect accounts and market mix on this basis tothe revenue team.
Analyze and understand market reach /penetration, giving direction to Sales & Marketing regarding strategicshifts that need to happen – Short, Medium and Long Term
Understand impact of channel deliveryand be able to make strategic decisions in conjunction with Portfolio RevenueManager or hotel Revenue lead or Regional Revenue Management Team, with regardsto what needs to change in order to shift share; understand how to manage thesechannels and the impact of effective channel management.
Based on the hotel subscriptions, youmight be required to support New Hotel Openings (NHOPs). Relevant support to beprovided as per the service level agreement.
You will be required to provideRegional & Internal Stakeholders a summary of month’s performance with anoutlook for the rest of the year. Individual portfolio commentary might berequired to support hotels performance data on regular basis.
Forecasting / Budget:
In compliance with InterContinentalHotels Group standards, update the room forecast SBRP and share the file withthe hotel.
Communicate regularly with each hoteland the area team regarding hotel performance, opportunities and/or threats.
Consider and comment on economic,political, social activity and trends which are likely to influence businessoutcomes.
Support the sales and marketingstrategies and actions based on the forecast and budget communicated.
Review and analyze Predictive DemandIntelligence (PDI) reports, IHG Revenue Management Reports and other tools toconsider and formulate recommendations.
Review PERFORM forecast and hurdlepoints relevant to the SBRP forecast and if necessary, revise segmentforecasting to ensure that product and inventory yielding and length of stay isbeing managed appropriately
Ensure forecasting accuracy for all marketsegments with focus on RevPAR.
Evaluate group acceptance and pricing,in line with forecasted demand
Update and analyze denial and regretactivity, proportional to demand and pricing
Based on the service level, you mightbe involved in the annual budgeting process that will include recommendingideal targets supported by data and analysis. SBRP might be required to beupdated with the budget numbers.
Attract, develop and retain the bestpeople to deliver optimal revenue system functionality whilst providing apipeline of talent for the greater IHG organisation.
Direct day to day activities; managePortfolio Revenue Managers by planning and assigning work, projects and leaveto maximise effectiveness, coach to create performance and development goalsfor colleagues.
Create an environment of coaching andregular quality feedback for colleagues, creating a high performance culture.
Managing stakeholders – identifyrequirements and outline framework for meetings, communications, engagement andalignment.

Guide and motivate hotel RevenueChampion as and when required, based on individual capabilities and motivatingfactors of individual employees. You will be expected to play a key role in thefunction as and when you gain substantial experience and in providing supportto new team members.
On-Boarding and “Buddy” for new staff.
Actively participate in personaltraining and development, ensuring any pre/post-course activity is undertaken.
Ensure all product information on IHGsystems and OTAs sites is accurate, appealing and appropriate to business need.
Monitor guest feedback using IHGListening Tool, and provide insight and support to the Hotel’s executive teamto help improve the guest experience.
Ensure the subscriber hotel assigned toyou has complete understanding with the program deliverables and timelines.
You will be expected to ensure allstakeholders are briefed on the change and setting up of expectations.
Management of stakeholders, in regardto fostering collaboration through gaining alignment and through opencommunication with General Managers, Sales and Marketing Teams, Area Teams aswell as external clients / customers.
Champion the identification andcorrection of hazards using a range of risk management tools including, yet notlimited to hazard reporting, workplace inspections and accident/incident/injuryreporting
Ensure the availability of resources toestablish, implement, maintain and improve IHG’s environmental managementsystem
Support the IHG Community Engagementprogram
Fully understands and promotesadherence to the IHG Corporate Code of Conduct
University Degree or HospitalityDiploma/Degree is essential
Post Graduate in Hospitality, Sales& Marketing or related field is desirable
Overall experience of 5 years inHospitality Industry
Advanced understanding of YieldManagement with a minimum of 3 years’ experience preferably in aCluster/Portfolio Revenue Management Environment
Management experience required
TechnicalSkills and Knowledge:
Intimate knowledge of CentralReservation System (Holidex Plus/Trust/Marsha etc), Property Management System(Opera).
Proven knowledge of RevenueManagement Software Systems like Optims, Ideas, Rate360, Perform & PriceOptimization.
IHG Systems & Tools knowledgewill be ideal.
Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge,particularly Excel.
Excellent report writing andpresentation skills.
Revenue Management EssentialCertification is preferred along with Certification for Holidex Plus andPerform & Price Optimization.
