CTI ICG Network Services Business Aligned Level 3 Engineer

Description

The CTI ICG Network Operations team is seeking a senior network engineer person to provide SME/Expert level Technical Support for ICG Business. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of network operations support needs and implementation of new technologies and products in alignment to large scale deployments specific to the ICG business regions.

The CTI ICG Network Services Business Aligned team provides expert level network support to the ICG business. The team works collaboratively with ICG technology team and partners throughout the firm on implementing a wide range of technology projects and strategic initiatives to continuously enhance Citi's ICG technology services.

The goal of the Network Services Business Aligned Level 3 is to provide expert Level network infrastructure technical support to ICG business. This person will be directly involved with the technical support required to network services BAU tasks, project workload, Improvement Plans (SIP). Provide expert level technical support on conference calls with cross functional partners throughout the technology organization. Conduct in depth technical investigations of ongoing incidents involving degraded network performance. Support the ICG project by providing impact analysis, review, testing, coordination, and design documentation verification from inception through completion.

CTI ICG Network Services Business Aligned Level 3 Engineer

We are looking for a highly assertive and aggressive take-charge personality, someone who can be in charge of our NOC simply through their natural presence. We are looking for someone who does not hesitate to provide solution, direction, correction, etc under high pressure situations.

Major Incident Support

  • Represent ICG network on conference calls for business impacting incidents which may or may not be due to a failure in NCIS managed technology infrastructure

  • Drive major incident conference calls as a technical representative of ICG network team through consistent, professional, and highly assertive communication

  • Maintain focus and poise for the duration of the major incident support cycle and work through all challenges with a results oriented attitude and relentless focus on enhanced customer service through rapid incident resolution

  • Provide expert level technical support on conference calls with cross functional partners throughout the technology organization. Conduct in depth technical investigations of ongoing incidents involving degraded network performance

  • Collaborate with Network services team (Support TierIII, SMEs, Delivery team, Vendor Support Teams, etc) with the goal of aligning all parties towards achieving incident resolution as quickly as possible

Project Support

  • Represent ICG network technically for all ICG related project

  • Support the ICG project by providing impact analysis, review, testing, coordination, and design documentation verification from inception through completion

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholder to ensure successful technical delivery of ICG business project

Qualifications

Qualifications / Requisite Knowledge Base

  • 10 - 15 years of experience in providing network operations support. Experience supporting a network with 1000+ nodes is preferred. NOC (Network Operations Center) experience is highly preferred

  • Expert level working knowledge of the following routing protocols: EIGRP, BGP, OSPF

  • Expert working knowledge of Multicasting and Market Data Feeds

  • Expert working knowledge of Data Center and Colocation environments

Any of following Industry Certifications are highly preferred:

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) is highly preferred and required within 1 year of hire. Cisco Certified Network Associate is preferred (CCNA).

  • Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate/Specialist/Professional (JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP)

  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library – Version 3 Foundations (ITIL Version 3)

*A commensurate knowledge base in absence of certification is acceptable.

  • Language Skills beyond English are a plus
