Job Summary

The Azure Solutions Architect is an overlay role responsible for helping grow CenturyLink’s Multi-Cloud Services practice on Microsoft Azure. Reporting into the Director for Cloud & Managed Hosting, the role will have a focus upon pre-sales and post-sales activities. Pre-sales responsibilities will involve supporting the APAC Sales Teams in positioning and architecting CenturyLink’s Multi-Cloud Services (MCS) solutions with existing and new CenturyLink customers; Post-sales responsibilities will involve supporting the Cloud Onboarding, IT Services and Service Delivery teams in implementation, as well as supporting the APAC Account teams in ongoing engagement with customers to identify and position up/cross-sell MCS solutions. Based in Singapore, this role will have a Singapore focus, but will be supporting customer engagement across Asia-Pacific. There may be some infrequent travel, as required.

Job Description

  • Collaborate with the Hybrid IT and the Global Accounts Sales teams to assist in driving revenue growth across a broad set of targeted MNC and Asia-Pacific Enterprise customers.

  • Field technical questions and educate Enterprise and MNC customers on the value proposition regarding CenturyLink’s Design and Transition , Application Lifecycle Management , Managed Services , Cloud Optimization Services and IT Consultancy Services on Hybrid Cloud and Azure.

  • Ascertain client requirements and lead architectural discussions to ensure CenturyLink MCS solutions are designed successfully for Azure. This potentially includes understanding complex applications that may need to sit across several Cloud Platforms, Service Levels and Technologies.

  • In collaboration with the IT Services and Client Engagement teams, assist with running customer cloud transformation workshops.

  • Lend expertise for responses to proposals; specifically addresses any items on RFPs pertaining to CenturyLink’s MCS solutions.

  • In collaboration with the APAC Account Teams, perform regular reviews of existing customer architectures to optimize and evolve their environments for ongoing value.

  • In collaboration with the IT Services team, provide consultative services based on prospect’s requirements and available product offerings.

  • Support Product and Solution marketing activities, which may include speaking at industry conferences, presenting webinars, and engaging in community events.

  • As the technical Azure MCS expert, provide regular training sessions to educate your CenturyLink Sales teams and technical peers to collectively improve their knowledge and capabilities of CenturyLink’s offerings on Azure’s IaaS/PaaS platforms.

  • Assist with investigation and dissemination of Competitive Intelligence on CenturyLink’s MCS, Cloud and Managed Hosting competitors.

  • Continually develop technical skills on CenturyLink’s MCS, Azure and Industry Cloud technologies and trends.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

The Azure Solutions Architect, APAC should possess:

  • 8+ years’ experience as a Cloud Solutions Architect.

  • 4+ years’ architecting and provisioning solutions on Azure IaaS and associated Azure cloud services.

  • Excellent interpersonal, and communication skills - oral, written and presentation.

  • Excellent organizational skills and proven experience engaging with cross-functional and cross-regional virtual teams

  • Effective time management skills, including the ability to work on multiple sales opportunities for multiple Clients simultaneously.

  • Experience participating in IT and Business assessment and discovery workshops.

  • Excellent knowledge of Industry Cloud technologies and trends.

  • A Bachelor’s degree from a reputable tertiary institution.

  • Hold current accreditations of:

  • 70-533: Implementing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions

  • 70-535: Architecting Microsoft Azure Solutions or 70-534: Architecting Microsoft Azure Solutions

Ideal Requirements

Ideally, the Azure Solutions Architect, APAC will also possess:

  • Familiarity with Azure PaaS technologies and services, as well as CI/CD and DevOps concepts.

  • Previous experience working in regional roles for a multi-national vendor.

  • Familiarity with Commercial/Legal landscape of key CenturyLink APAC target markets – SG, JP, HK, CN, ID, AU.

  • Hold current accreditations of:

  • MCSA Cloud Platform and Infrastructure

  • 70-532: Developing Microsoft Azure Solutions

  • 70-473 Cloud Data Platform Solutions Specialist

Education

Bachelors or Equivalent in Computer Science or Information Systems

Masters or Equivalent in Computer Science or Information Systems
