Content Marketing & Social Media Manager, Asia Pacific and Japan (Contract)

Palo Alto Networks seeks a content marketing and social media manager to focus on Asia Pacific and Japan, and who will be a key member of the global corporate communications team, reporting to the content marketing and social media lead for EMEA and APAC.

The recommended base for this position is Singapore. Other locations in Asia Pacific time zones will be considered for the right candidate.

This is a full-time contract role.


Our challenge as communicators is to strategically engage the right audiences, on the right channels, with the right messages, at the right times, to build positive notoriety and thought leadership for the company, and capture attention along a buyer’s journey.

Asia Pacific and Japan are vibrant and complex theaters for business communications. In this role, you will regularly coordinate with teammates in the Americas, EMEA and APAC regions and collaborate with other members of the broader APAC and Japan-based marketing teams, including demand generation, public relations and customer advocacy teams.

This role requires someone who is used to working against deadlines and has excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills. Familiarity with cultural norms, business customs, and social media trends in Asia Pacific and Japan is a must.


  • Manage APAC and Japan-based social media presences, including:

  • Work with agencies and internal stakeholders to create, curate and publish content

  • Report and escalate social media notifications

  • Execute organic owned and earned social campaigns in collaboration with regional campaigns leaders and global social media strategy team, and report on results

  • Help manage local market content needs in alignment with global brand priorities, including:

  • Work closely with local market stakeholders on Go-To-Market campaigns

  • Develop quality-over-quantity, high impact content assets that have multiple uses across communications, field marketing, sales and partner syndication

  • Ensure consistency in messaging

  • Serve as a local, APAC-knowledgeable voice representing a global communications team


  • 5+ years overall experience in technology marketing and proven success in content marketing and social media content strategy

  • Proven understanding of how social media communications support broaderbusiness strategy and objectives

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convert complex technical details into clearly understandable messages and soundbites. 

  • Self-starter and highly motivated, with the ability to manage communications and enforce deadlines across complex stakeholder groups with members based throughout the world

  • Excellent project management, organization and time management skills

  • Business-level English language proficiency (written and verbal) required; proficiency in other prominent Asia Pacific languages, especially Chinese, Japanese or Korean, a plus
