Job Description:

Functions:

  • Partner with the client business and other key stakeholders, including BAS, to promote and support BlackRock’s global credit products in AXJ incl Australasia; drive significant growth in revenues sourced from regional clients.

  • Be responsive to client requests and queries, including supporting often very complicated and deep due diligence processes.

  • Play a leading role in designing tailored credit products that meet the requirements of regional clients.

  • Help define and position BlackRock’s competitive advantage in credit; understand industry dynamics and drivers of growth.

  • Partner with the client businesses to raise the profile of BlackRock’s credit capabilities in AXJ incl Australasia.

  • Represent the product and the portfolio manager at product pitches, review meetings, market updates and ad hoc portfolio-related meetings.

  • Represent AXJ incl Australasia interest in thought leadership pieces produced across the platform.

  • Liaise and collaborate with the credit portfolio management and strategy teams based in New York and London.

  • Regularly communicate with regional and global stakeholders to understand sales and client feedback around the reception of product messages and positioning

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong understanding of and background in the credit asset class, including middle market lending, opportunistic, and distressed, preferably from a product specialist / investment role.

  • Exceptional oral and written communications skills in English.

  • Knowledge of institutions, business customs, and regulatory frameworks across AXJ incl Australasia.

  • Track record of understanding the needs of strategic clients .

  • Strong presentation skills and ability to deliver pertinent facts in a concise way.

  • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to quickly form meaningful working partnerships.

  • Receptivity to firm culture and ability to promote same. Strong organizational and project management skills, including ability to function effectively within an unstructured, fast-paced environment.
