Position Purpose & Summary

The FPA Analyst will have accountability / responsibility to provide information & analytical support on Financial & Operational KPIs to commercial & operations leads of the business by monitoring performance & identifying areas of improvement.

Accountability includes activities which are value creation focused and include, working closely with commercial/operation lead(s), production of forward looking analysis & reports.

Working with the respective country A&F leads, responsibility will include managing production of timely & accurate financial & management reports with insights on critical KPIs.

The role will have breadth across different countries & thus building strong relationships & trust with multiple functional & business leads will be critical for success in the role.

Principal Accountabilities

In this role, the FP&A analyst will mainly work in SG&A area with involvement on other projects/tasks related to Australia, North and South Asia businesses.

1. Timely & Accurate Financial / Management Reports – 60%

  • Partner closely and leverage the Accounting and Finance teams, particularly Management Information and Decision Support for key information points data collection and historical reporting. May include activities related to accounting, currency / FX impact, analysis of data and management reports, activity based costing or cost allocation etc

  • Collaborate with FP&A business tags / MIDS team to report, analyze and forecast SGA cost on Asia Pacific level, and identify initiatives to build cost efficiency, monitor and drive progress to achieve targeted KPIs.

  • Represent Asia Pacific FP&A team to work with Enterprise SG&A team to contribute to the improvements of SG&A analysis, reporting and processes. Bring global best-practices back to Asia pacific and support/implement relevant global initiative in Asia Pacific.

  • Utilize and improve existing frameworks and reports to enhance the analytical environment.

  • Develop analytics and reports and support the team in driving consistent use of business support tools and internal processes.

2. Process Improvement – 20%

  • Work with A&F team on reporting for monthly close financials

  • Align performance metrics with business strategy

  • Develop tools & reports to improve visibility on key business KPIs

  • Develop and improve SG&A benchmarking process to increase transparency and identify opportunity for improvements.

3. Others / Ad-hoc – 20%

  • Provide analytical support for the CASC APAC Regional FP&A activity as required on need basis.

  • Strong and permanent liaise with the other FP&A expertise domains to identify and leverage growth opportunities while getting an holistic view of the business across the geography.

  • Active participation in various business finance initiatives and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Skills

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, accounting or other Business related degree

  • Candidates for position should have experience within Finance/ Accounting /FP&A

  • Proficiency in excel and ppt

Skills Required

  • Ability to integrate and interpret disparate sources of data using a broad range of analytical data tools. Incorporates use of statistical methodology and predictive modeling techniques

  • Design, develop and implement value-added business analytics

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Demonstrates high degree of curiosity & challenging status quo. Invest time and energy into learning the details. Seeks different points of view and perspectives
