Job Purpose:

  • To project manage various Customer Journey based scrums starting with Communications to ensure customer , business and project objectives are achieved comprehensively.

Job Background/context:

  • Operations 2020 and Digitization of the Consumer Bank is a key strategic initiative. The intent is to have customer journey scrums put in place to review the customer experience, operational efficiency, product features, technology implementations, control frameworks and suggest ideas to simplify, streamline, automate / eliminate and digitize the processes. As part of this exercise, various business AGILE scrums that would operate would need to be project managed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects based on customer journeys starting with Communications initiative and others, as and when identified

  • Work closely with Regional and Country stakeholders to ensure that project objectives are correctly identified , documented and tracked from start to finish

  • Engage proactively with Business Agile scrum teams to ensure that project objectives are met and exceeded

  • Possess capability to challenge the project teams to set and achieve bold goals

  • Report periodic progress to journey owners, leadership and other stakeholders

  • Monitor, Track and Escalate issues and ensure successful solutions to the same.

  • Escalate project risks to the project director, or project sponsor, when appropriate

  • Document learnings across the project management life cycle to ensure a successful outcome, within time, budget and resources.

  • Manage projects and programs through the full project lifecycle, from conception through rollout and ongoing support/analysis, while continuously ensuring that projects have alignment to transformation goals


The ideal Candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree related to technology and operations. Qualifications in Banking and Financial Services, Insurance is preferred but not essential

  • Experience working within an agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban)

  • Project Management Fundamentals

  • Project Planning and Tracking

  • Project Management/Program Management Skills

  • AGILE techniques/certifications

  • Successful track record in managing large complex projects consistently with at least 7-10 years of relevant experience

  • Exposure to AGILE, Business Analysis

  • Drive process improvement of customer experiences through Agile Development, Lean and/or Six Sigma
