Overview of the Role
Citi’s Global Consumer Technology (GCT) organization serves the GCB global suite of products providing a full range of innovative and comprehensive set of services. Our businesses also offer industry-leading advanced technology, a strong worldwide presence and a powerful global franchise.
Reporting to the Global Consumer Bank Technology Head of Data Services, and with a matrix reporting to the GCT Asia and EMEA Head of Technology, the Asia/EMEA Data Services Head is responsible for leading the Asia/EMEA data teams servicing all 17 Asia/EMEA markets and will also partner with the wider global data competencies to accelerate Technology’s agenda of advanced analytics, data governance & performance management, data & integration architecture, and tools & platform engineering.
The Asia/EMEA Data Services Head is the direct point of contact for Asia LOB/EO&T heads, for all Data Services matters, and as a permanent member attending Asia/EMEA Consumer Leadership forums, is responsible for overall service and engagement interface into all relevant business executive committees.
Enhancing Data and Analytics capabilities to accelerate delivery of key data initiatives against business goals, including:
Driving maturity in advanced analytics + ML (Machine Learning), and existing data (e.g., Teradata) and holding accountability for BI (Business Intelligence), AML (Anti-Money Laundering), KYC (Know Your Customer), and Regulatory
Defining a tiered data model (Improve/Wrap/Sell)
Implementing a test & learn approach
Directly engaging with global functions and regional leadership to ensure close alignment on a portfolio of regulatory programs
Ensuring close alignment with Citi Enterprise Data organization GCT CTO Data Architecture to enforce consistent architectural design principles within wider GCT data organization.
Owning all processes for local Data Services portfolio management; help shape, pressure-test, and ensure strategic alignment of Book of Work with Business goals.
Assessing and aligning where needed GCT-wide global competency teams, knowledge expertise, resources and capacity to the Book of Work, and align with global standards / guidelines from Capacity Management.
Applying and scaling Agile delivery practices across initiatives.
Ensuring Citi’s data expertise and service delivery is continually improved and of the highest quality and is aligned to the wider GCT Data global organization.

Organizational Scope and Accountability
Implement governance processes for Data Services programs (e.g., program portfolio reporting and dashboards; ensure alignment against GCT / GCB strategic priorities) and migrate programs to more agile ways of working.
Create forum to consistently monitor and proactively adjust Data Services driven initiatives, utilizing benchmarking, trend data, and external analysis.
Oversee planning, development and rollout of SAFE agile methods, tools and training; and agree the optimal design of Customer Journeys to support the bank’s aspiration of being the best digital bank in the region.
Maintain strong relationships with senior business partners, control organizations, other technology functions and external regulators and vendors.
Find, develop and advocate a deep and diverse talent pool within the organization and offer effective coaching and development.
Champion an inclusive and diverse global mindset.
The ideal candidate will come from an international organization, and be a global visionary leader in engineering/technology who will drive priorities while balancing risks, capital allocations, and change complexities throughout the enterprise.
10-15 years of demonstrated Sr. Technology Leadership roles in the financial industry or a related field with a strong understanding/focus on digital technologies to include middleware integration; scrum/iterative application development, web oriented architecture, API strategy and Cloud computing.
Bachelor degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience building consumer facing applications and virtual technologies expertise is preferred. A rounded knowledge of all aspects of the technology stack in a large scale, complex organization is critical.
Successful track record as a change leader in a large and complex environment.

Familiarity with the major line of business activities within a large global financial institution. Broad financial expertise with knowledge of corporate affairs, financial and economic fundamentals, and business policies, products, processes, systems and roles.
