Nutanix Global Solutions Architect in Singapore, Singapore

The Global Solutions Architect (GSA) will provide technical, customer-facing pre-sales consulting, post-sales technical guidance, and hands-on assistance to a small group of target accounts. This is an exciting role within our organization leveraging your deep enterprise expertise to help account teams be even more successful in strategic Nutanix accounts.

The GSA must be a highly organized, thorough and motivated professional that understands the importance of being a strong team player and leader when it comes to forging a solution and liaising with customers. In addition to assisting sales and delivery teams with advanced architecture designs and services, the GSA will also be a key field partner for Nutanix engineering. Your knowledge and experience will be leveraged as a part of continuous feedback loop to drive architectural best practices and tooling required to increase adoption, retention and overall customer experience.

Key responsibilities of the GSA include:

  • Articulate the features and benefits of Nutanix solutions and products.

  • Understand the customer's business drivers and how to map these to a Nutanix solution.

  • Provide technical leadership in the Requirements Discovery, Solution Development, Solution Proposal, and delivery stages of the sales cycle.

  • Act as interface to Product Management to monitoring and manage feature requests and product roadmap issues to conclusion, including any required management escalations required to resolve related issues.

  • Act as interface to the Solutions and Performance team to manage application performance testing, provide Nutanix and application best practices, and assist with customer-required ISV certifications.

  • Gather requirements, constraints, assumptions, and risks for new Nutanix deployments and author expert-level enterprise architecture documentation packages.

  • GSAs are assigned a limited number of dedicated and geographically disperse G2K accounts, where the candidate will be a trusted advisor for all technical matters.

  • Able to help create custom engineered solutions and systems as and when required for a large scale opportunity.

  • Working with existing account teams, SEs, and global SEs to provide 360-degree technical coverage of G2K accounts.

  • Assist the Customer with financial (ROI, TCO) and business value modeling of their Nutanix based solution offerings.

  • Develop and maintain technical and business expertise of cloud industry directions and trends.

The Candidate

The Global Solutions Architect candidate should have proven customer facing skills at both the C-level and line management level. Candidates should be technically strong enough to establish credibility with technical leaders in Global Accounts. Working in tandem with the Nutanix sales teams requires the candidate to have knowledge and experience in sales methodologies and a keen focus on driving positive business outcomes. The Global Solution architect should also have the following:

  • 10+ years experience in a customer facing technical role

  • Deep enterprise-level architecture expertise or certification (e.g. Nutanix NPX, VMware VCDX, TOGAF etc.)

  • Technical expertise with virtualization technologies, data center consolidation, and/or server technologies is required

  • Strong writing skills, including previous experience with delivering comprehensive enterprise architecture documentation packages

  • Hands-on, and does what it takes attitude to drive success

  • Strong consulting soft skills and tactful conflict management skills.

  • Ability to uncover business challenges and develop a custom solution to solve those challenges.

  • Must be effective in working both independently and in a team setting with other high performing technical architects.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate professionally with customers, and internal cross-functional teams including Sales and Engineering

  • A structured thinker with strong presentation and problem solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, determine project urgency and execute detailed action plans with minimal oversight

  • Highest level of personal and professional ethics and integrity.

  • One or more desired: Enterprise application experience (e.g. SQL, Oracle, Exchange), DevOps, Automation, Nutanix Calm

  • Ability to travel globally 50-75% of the time

  • Has the willingness and drive to obtain the Nutanix NPX certification

  • Direct experience designing and deploying production level large scale integration deployments.

  • Experienced and credible C-suite advisor with strong customer-facing and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to see and present "the big picture" through strong listening and question-based selling skills.
