Citi has made major investment in building its enterprise data analytics platform (EAP) which allows the firm to exploit Big Data technologies, employ advanced data algorithm for business analytics, empower business to improve decision-making across Citi and enhance the services it provides to customers. The EAP delivers radical improvements in cost savings, capacity, throughput and sophistication of data storage and analytics to provide improved business insights

Successful candidate will be responsible for planning and running the projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders.

Job Background/Context:

  • Manage multiple regional client implementations ranging from moderate to high complexity

  • Ensure timely delivery of projects within agreed project budget

  • Project Technical leadership and manage team of service delivery teams including developers, solution architects, data engineers

  • Act as the primary interface to client, while coordinating with all internal and global support teams

  • Implement solutions with highest level of quality and professionalism, ensuring total client satisfaction

  • Ensure solution will be operationally ready and efficient

  • Ensure smooth transition of operational responsibility to the production support team

  • Ensure that project delivered is coherent and aligned enterprise strategy and roadmap to achieve the collective objectives of the enterprise and individual businesses

  • Ensure compliance with all audit, regulatory and compliance directives

  • Work closely with PMO to ensure that timely and accurate project status reports are provided to stakeholders

Technical knowledge:

  • 10 years of experience with technical management

  • 8 years of extensive experience in leading software development teams

  • 3 years of experience with Big Data related work.

  • Hands on experience various tools used for data modeling, data warehousing, business intelligence and databases (e.g. SAS, R Python, Hadoop, and Hive)

  • Familiar with Java / J2ee

  • Knowledge of server platforms (UNIX, LINUX, Windows) a plus

  • Willingness to learn new technologies/methodologies and apply them

  • Hands on with Java / J2ee, Python

Qualifications

  • Good business acumen and technology understanding to be able to propose relevant technology solutions to business partners

  • An excellent influencer who communicates frequently and clearly to different levels of management

  • Ability to connect and communicate with senior management, e.g. able to articulate clearly proposal of technology adoption

  • Ability to engage the right stakeholders to inspire and create awareness of Citi's Data analytics capabilities.

  • A strong collaborator with a demonstrated ability to influence broadly and challenge conventional thinking

  • Outstanding analytical and organizational skills with an attention to details. Capability to switch between strategic and detailed analysis

  • Broad understanding of the various businesses and operations in Citi

  • Has good understanding of Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence and Big Data Solutions

  • Experienced in managing complex technology programs

  • Experienced in managing and collaborating with cross functional teams across different geographies and time zones

  • Strong written and verbal communication to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical users at all levels of the organization

  • Analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems
