  • Work with the Purchasing Manager in AbbVie to optimizerelated areas of spend for procurement activities

  • Implement short term and long term cost reductionstrategies established by management

  • Works with high ethical standard, in compliance withthe law and the AbbVie policies and procedures

  • Drive alternate sourcing for risk mitigation and costimprovement with consideration of supplier quality, delivery performance& capacity

  • Develop supplier base to expand business, improvefinancials, reduce in-house / total costs, improve quality (customersatisfaction), customer relations, and on-time deliveries

  • Supply Chain Partnership. Work with the Supply ChainPlanner on MRP scheduling, to ensure material availability to supportS&OP requirement. Convert purchase requisition to purchases and driveOTIF delivery performance

  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, proceduresand regulations

  • Improve supplier service levels by integrating agreedKey Performance Indicators (KPI). Secures financial / saving reports

  • Perform and collect due diligence information requiredfor evaluating and approving new suppliers, in line with the PreferredSupplier Networks

  • Data analysis and administrative support for purchasingprojects and supplier management (supplier metrics and research, masterdata, market basket analysis, pricing analysis, monthly/quarterlyreporting of KPI’s, savings reporting)


  • Degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain orequivalent

  • Minimum 3 years of procurement/negotiations experiencein direct purchasing preferably

  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word andOutlook.

  • Strong experience with writing RFX’s

  • Solid experience conducting vendor negotiations

  • Ability to effectively communicate to all team members,stakeholders, management, and suppliers

  • Ability to comprehend procurement processes as well asbasic knowledge of indirect products and services used globally

  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal direction.
