VMware Senior Enterprise Marketing Manager - APJ in Singapore, Singapore

The Senior Marketing Manager, Enterprise (APJ) will develop and drive, directly and by leveraging APJ, Corporate and country teams, the implementation of the Enterprise Marketing Plan, focusing on strategic accounts and the key decision makers.

The focus will be primarily on:

Decision Maker audience program Enterprise programs and initiatives including Professional Services, Strategic Accounts and Vertical Marketing

This role requires excellent interpersonal skills and strong collaboration as the individual will work closely with a large array of internal stakeholders, whether Enterprise sales leaders, APJ and corporate marketing teams, country marketing teams, as well as interactions with VMware Executives.

This position requires someone who:

Understands the agendas of key decision makers, including CxOs Is able to map VMware value proposition to these agendas, including Vertical and Professional Services alignment Is capable of driving creation & execution of programs, across multiple teams, to establish and strengthen relationships, foster larger deals and support booking growth

Main Responsibilities:

  • Understand customer requirements and market opportunities for input into Enterprise GTM and marketing plans within a clear customer journey

  • Participate in the creation of the Enterprise GTM plan for APJ to achieve business objectives in the Enterprise segment, including achieving the associated Marketing KPIs

  • Develop the Executive marketing plan for APJ, including Verticals and Professional Services Approach, CIO Programs and Account Based Marketing.

  • Drive execution of the Executive marketing plan (C and C-1 levels), across the APJ sales/services/marketing teams, report on progress and results, syndicate best practices across APJ and the world.

  • Deliver executive content to support C-level executive programs

  • Deliver business value content that will accelerate the adoption of new products/solutions

  • Regularly conduct in depth evaluation and analysis of programs adoption and execution success

  • Work with the customer reference team and across key stakeholders to ensure availability and quality of amazing/flagship customer stories in support of the Enterprise GTM plan and the solutions approach

  • Work with the marketing operations team, sales ops and enterprise sales leaders to ensure acquisition of key contacts

Skills & Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role

  • Modern marketing and management experience in a fast-paced high-tech environment

  • Previous experience in Enterprise segment marketing, particularly in driving the C level agenda a must, preferably in an Enterprise software company

  • Self-starter with the ability to work effectively in high-energy, fast paced, cross-functional teams, and be able to confidently communicate and work collaboratively with peers and senior executives

  • Ability to create and drive GTM strategies for Enterprise market segment

  • Ability to translate key business objectives into a programmatic and measurable approach

  • Enterprise solutions and product understanding and the capacity to develop associated GTM strategies

  • Ability to partner with Sales and Partner organisations and deliver what they need to be successful in a changing environment

  • Building and leading cross-functional virtual teams which are geographically dispersed

  • Proven ability to take complex technology concepts, simplify them and extract key value propositions as evidenced by strong writing, editing and presentation skills

  • A strategic thinker, outcomes oriented, with strong project management and execution skills

  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in working with a broad range of colleagues and executives in order to successfully drive awareness and influence

  • Enthusiasm, energy and tenacity in face of challenging situations

  • Fluency in English with additional language (within APJ) a bonus
