The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Technical Marketing Manager to join us in Singapore. In this role, you will ensure that we are foreseeing or proactively and effectively addressing our customer's needs. You’ll work in a field technical marketing role for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform within the Asia Pacific (APAC) Office of Technology (AOT). You’ll support the Red Hat Sales and Presales teams primarily with a technical and evangelist focus and provide presales technical support to prospective customers and partners. As a Technical Marketing Manager, you will work closely on opportunities with the Sales team in pursuit of new customers, strategic partners, and global system integrators (SIs) and help them solve real problems with the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. You’ll need to have solid experience in DevOps, continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD), agile software development, and API Management.
Primary job responsibilities
Provide complex deal support, product management, and engineering escalation
Provide RFP support for strategic deals
Provide timely and accurate technical responses to presales requests
Actively engage and support prospective customers in technical evaluations
Guide outreach to technical audiences and excite and inspire them with the capabilities of OpenShift by Red Hat; include coding in your technical storytelling
Support and foster a network of subject matter experts across the APAC region and provide air cover during key meetings with customer and partners
Engage with technical audiences through presence and active participation at Red Hat and third-party events
Build and deliver compelling application demos, technical content, and presentations that demonstrate the value of OpenShift by Red Hat for both online assets and third-party events
Work with the OpenShift by Red Hat Business team in the HQ and AOT teams to manage the introduction of major and minor releases and changes of our offerings with a holistic and disciplined process across the region
Ensuring that coverage of all areas of the business like operations, technical readiness, sales readiness, partner programs, training, support, and marketing are fully enabled and aligned, resulting in a fast-start to enter the market
Deliver ongoing reviews and changes as needed consistently to continuously streamline and improve effectiveness
Coordinate regional communication with the HQ Business team’s product management and marketing team on marketing items and key customer engagements
5+ years of prior sales engineering experience in a high-tech environment with a demonstrated record of success in promoting customer adoption of technology
Sound understanding of containers, DevOps, CI, CD, software development life cycle and API management
Solid experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and application middleware like application servers, API management, ESBs, and business process management (BPM)
Good programming skills in Java and JEE
Solid programming skills in Node.js and Spring Boot
Good understanding of the container and orchestration landscape
Extensive presentation or public speaking experience; actual videos of public speaking available on YouTube or elsewhere online are a plus
Solid persuasion and implementation skills
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent experience
Practical knowledge of public cloud providers like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure is a plus
Experience with other open source projects like ELK and EFK stacks, Spark, or Kafka is a plus
