Job Description Summary
• The Regional Supply Planner is responsible for the supply and inventory planning in Greater Asia for the assigned business. This includes facilitating the supply consensus meetings within the region with global participation, ensure timely collection and review of the appropriate information required for this forum. He or she establishes clear guidelines in the management of long term product supply shortages eg. temporarily reduce inventory targets in order to automate the propagation / distribution of the products with shortages, review business priorities, alternate products/ sourcing and negotiate for more stock allocation, capacity investment etc. He or she champions supply issues and influence Global/ Manufacturing decisions regarding capacity, supply and production allocations for Greater Asia
• The Regional Supply Planner’s responsibility also includes coordinating the replenishment demand for the annual long-term planning process. Consolidates and validates rolling 24months fcst at SKU level, captures key assumptions and drives the LTP reconciliation process. Challenges the country LTP input as well as provide Regional input, interacts with Manufacturing/ Global partners on mfg volume / capacity alignment.
• Key Supply Chain Operations Metrics - Accountable on achieving targeted supply chain operation metrics: Back Order, Line Fine Rate, Inventory. Ability to set targets and establish plans to drive metric improvement to target at regional level
Perform weekly alert monitoring to drive optimization of both supply and inventory (shortage & excess alerts).
Provide timely and qualitative supply analysis on critical items to country, including country escalations to Region as per the Engagement model, provide scenarios & recovery options to help business mitigate financial risk.
Drive the manual allocation process and work with key stakeholders to ensure business priorities are met.
Drive system optimization and improve accuracy of supply visibility and inventory modeling.
Work together with Regional Logistics team to drive inbound & outbound SLA performance. Attend monthly Logistic meeting to follow up on corrective actions and continuous improvements where applicable.
Drive long term solutions and accountability in driving predictable and timely supply of products to meet Greater Asia demand needs.
Participate in yearly LTP process, especially for establishment of yearly supply/production volumes.
Partner with Regional Demand Planner to drive the yearly metrics target setting for Line Fill Rate, Back-Order and Inventory at Greater Asia level.
Supply Review (S&OP)
Facilitate supply consensus meetings within the region with global participation. Prepare BO and revenue risk projection.
Champion supply issues and influence Global/ Manufacturing decisions regarding capacity, supply and production allocations for Greater Asia
Work closely with country & worldwide affiliates to understand and establish the right stocking level, particularly on new product introductions or product discontinuation projects.
Regularly review country & RDC planning data, work with MDO to cleanse it.
Project RDC monthly inventory, analyze performance & establish plans to drive metric improvement to target
Identify RDC E&O, follow through on disposition and reduction opportunities. Drives root cause analysis and CI to prevent new occurrence.
Lead periodic inventory parameter renewal and ABC classification. Develop analysis and reports related to inventory scenarios. Align strategy across country & regional demand planners.
