You’ll be responsible for undertaking operational matters and execution of research to support the Resources Market Segment (comprising of companies in the Oil & Gas, Mining & Metals, Power & Utilities and Chemicals Sector) in generating higher revenues. This role requires the ability to combine strong management, operations and analytical skills with specialist knowledge (in either Oil & Gas, Mining & Metals, and broader Energy Sector) and a real-world perspective to bring insights amongst our senior partners and client-facing practitioners
Your key responsibilities
You’ll actively lead, manage and contribute to operational matters, including supporting on analysis, projects, including the design and delivery of products and services in response to customer needs as well as internal stake-holders. This includes using a range of analytic approaches to provide analytic insights about the changing dynamics of business environment in ASEAN and identify opportunities for EY. You’ll use internal and external specialty tools and databases to support strategic decisions.
Support the Market Segment Leader and BDs with the development and implementation of an account-centric, action-orientated account plans
Liaise and work with Client Service Partners (CSPs) and account teams on periodical account reviews and pipeline discussions
Be the knowledge steward of the Market Segment’s key accounts and provide all relevant performance reporting to the Region, Area and Global teams on a monthly basis
Support the annual revenue planning process with the Market segment leadership team and relevant Client Service Partners (CSPs)
Manage and execute the Assessment of Service Quality (ASQ) and win/loss debrief processes for the accounts
Manage the CRM process which includes working with accounts teams on strategic opportunities through the sales cycle, incorporating EY’s global sales methodology on active opportunities and client meetings, and ensuring all key client relationships are properly managed
Co-develop the account relationship strategy, including management of relationship maps
Manage and facilitate client events in collaboration with regional and global teams
Manage the account pipeline process and drive discipline
Manage the pursuit process for opportunities, working closely with key partners
Execute win/ loss debriefs
Provide pursuit management support for key accounts, focusing on opportunities with high-revenue potential or that are medium-are in scope
Embed pursuit excellence in the business by sharing best practices in pursuit management and intellectual assets
Drive continuous innovation in pursuits bringing insights based on EY global resources, market intelligence and alliances
Possess a deep knowledge and understanding of the Oil & Gas /Power & Utilities/ Mining & Metal sector and work in conjunction with the leadership to prepare insightful analyses on trends as well as the implications of those trends for EY or the client
Lead strategic and complex initiatives that support the Resources market segment objectives; providing a big-picture perspective.
Collaborate with coordinating partners and account teams to bring insight and perspective to focus accounts and build strong relationships within the segment’s focus accounts; collaborate with Global Sector teams to deploy sector solutions to regional accounts
Influence and contribute to stakeholder or community result within direct areas of responsibility
Work independently or collaboratively to produce insightful qualitative and/or quantitative analysis to fulfill both structured and unstructured requests to support the executive leadership or stakeholder groups; includes the creation or the management newsletters, internal briefings, early warning alerts and other deliverables.
Break down events into causes and key drivers. Demonstrate the ability to develop multiple hypotheses regarding alternative conclusions; investigate the alternatives and to recommend solutions.
Draw together information from primary and secondary sources to prove or disprove hypotheses.
Transform ideas into insights and outlines possible outcomes or implications. Demonstrate the ability to use “what if” approaches to determine impact of changes on all areas of a client’s business or logical next steps if status quo continues
Possess the ability to collect information from individuals using direct interviewing and elicitation techniques. Able to adapt the approach, collection techniques and questions during interview to address key topics

Strong advocate of the firm’s account management framework and opportunity tools and processes
Ability to adapt quickly in an ever-changing environment and comfortable working in a virtual team environment
Confident presentation skills
Confident to build a network of internal and external contacts to help shape point of view
Take ownership for delivering customized projects with a high degree of autonomy
Manage multiple, highly-complex projects simultaneously
To qualify for the role you must have
A Bachelor degree in relevant field (e.g., Economics, Finance, Business, Statistics, Journalism, Law) or equivalent work experience
Master’s degree or postgraduate qualification is an advantage
Deep knowledge of either Oil & Gas, Mining & Metals and Power and Utilities Sector, or at least in one of these Sectors
Minimum 5 to 8 years’ experience in a corporate environment
Succinct and structured oral and written communications skills. Proficiency in English and Mandarin or Bahasa Indonesia, both written and verbal is required.
Advanced skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
May require occasional travel
